My Adventure:
We headed down to Wombeyan caves for a Bucks weekend. The Buck, tired of Kings Cross buck type activities wanted something a little different, more adventurous and out of the way. A group of 20 guys stayed at Wombeayn caves for Friday and Saturday night. Amongst the obvious sitting around the campsite drinking activities, we visited some caves and took a trek to the creek which was really beautiful, but very cold water (a great way to clear a dusty head though).
A new ‘adult’ camp game was introduced… ‘Drinking’ Cricket. The basic rules: All fielders have a set zone to field (marked by chairs, jumpers or whatever is on hand). If the ball gets through your zone, you take a drink. The drink is located behind the wickets so as you go for a drink you leave your zone ‘open’ therefore presenting an easy opportunity. To keep things sensible, people can’t have more than three drinks in a row. If the batter hits the ball too high, or is bowled out, he takes a drink. As the batter is out each person rotates clock wise so all get an even turn. They should get the Aussie team playing this in training as after a few drinks the fielders become desperate not to let the ball pass through the zone! Good fun.
